Abdomen: Abdominoplasty, mini-abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty or abdomen surgery eliminates the excess skin and fat that accumulates in the lower part of the abdomen. In turn, it allows us to tighten the muscles of the abdominal region as it is common that women who have had pregnancies tend to suffer a separation of these muscles (diastasis recti) and, as a result, lose their abdominal firmness. Finally, having done all this, we will achieve a narrowing of the waist, improving the shape of the body outline. In most cases, Dr. Javier Collado combines this surgery with liposculpture of the flanks and the upper part of the abdomen in search of a more satisfactory result. The scar will be a line that runs from near the belly button and another one above the pubis that will be covered by underwear. In certain cases, such as thin people with an excess of skin below the belly button, we can perform a mini-abdominoplasty, leaving only a horizontal scar above the pubis and tightening the muscles of the abdominal region.
